Mondo has just announced that they will be bringing the soundtracks for Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4: The Room, and The Medium to vinyl. These new titles join Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2 to the list of Mondo’s ever-expanding video game soundtrack library.
SILENT HILL 3 – Original Video Game Soundtrack 2XLP

Mondo, in collaboration with Konami, presents the premiere vinyl pressing of the soundtrack to the 2003 horror classic, SILENT HILL 3.
Like Akira Yamaoka’s previous two SILENT HILL scores, SILENT HILL 3 is a mix of beautiful and truly terrifying soundscapes, with brilliant, layered guitar-driven rock and trip-hop. The dichotomy in tones and genres is part of the charm of this surreal series.
Featuring all-new artwork by Ashley Swidowski and Nephelomancer, and liner notes from horror game expert Alexander Aniel, it is pressed on 2x 180 Gram Colored Vinyl (also available on 2x 180 Gram Black Vinyl).
SILENT HILL 4: THE ROOM – Original Video Game Soundtrack 2XLP

THE ROOM is quite different from previous games in the series, both in narrative structure and gameplay, following an all-new protagonist who wakes up in a REAR WINDOW meets ROOM 1408 hellscape. The inventive subversion of structure is grounded by an incredible and reliably dynamic soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka: anthemic rock songs, trip-hop, and ambient droning that bring the world of THE ROOM to life, and … afterlife.

THE MEDIUM – Original Game Soundtrack 2XLP

Black Screen Records and Bloober Team have teamed up to release the soundtrack to their latest third-person psychological horror game THE MEDIUM.
It features patented dual-reality gameplay and an original soundtrack, co-composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski and Akira Yamaoka.
The soundtrack will be available on a limited-edition retail version on 140 Gram Brown & Oxblood Red vinyl. The vinyl comes in a gatefold sleeve with art by Bloober Team, as well as a Bandcamp Code for the digital soundtrack.
Mondo has a long history of releasing quality soundtracks. I personally own the excellent Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, and Silent Hill soundtracks and am very happy with them. If you’re interested in picking any of these new releases up, you better act fast, they sell out very quickly and are hard to find afterward (barring limited restocks).
