Deep Silver and 4A Games’ Metro Redux is headed to the Nintendo Switch as yet another example of “wow, they fit that on there?”
The upgraded re-release of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light dubbed Metro Redux will release in just one month, on February 20th, bringing both games to Nintendo’s handheld console. The brief announcement trailer presumably gives us a look at the port’s image quality, and while the resolution doesn’t look all too high, the graphics aren’t too shabby. Developer 4A Games developed the ports in house and include all of the originally released DLC in addition to the games on one Switch cartridge. A physical release of Metro Redux on Switch includes a pin set, special packaging, art cards, and a post.
We reviewed Metro Redux when it originally released. Both games are incredibly atmospheric and memorable. The redux release of 2033 incorporates gameplay improvements from the sequel.
