Deep Silver have announced that the Metro: Last Light‘s Developer Pack DLC is set to launch on Steam, XBL and PSN today, with the PSN EU release dropping tomorrow. The DLC will retail at only $3.99 / £3.19 / €3.99 for several new objectives to choose from.
The Shooting Range will allow players to experiment with every weapon and attachment combination possible, even those unavailable in the actual game, to test out the infinite possibilities and efficiency of weapons. Each weapon will have its unique marksmanship challenges for the player to complete.
In a similar manner to the Shooting Range, there will be a mode named AI Arena, in which the player can pit groups of AI monsters, key characters, or humans against each other to see how they will fare. There is another set of challenges for this mode that the player can complete.
The Metro Museum is a new feature in which you can browse the models of characters from the game, human enemies or monsters, up close and personal like.
Last, but certainly not least, the DLC will feature a solo mission in which the player, carrying only a lighter, torch and flamethrower, has to make their way through a spider-infested lair. In pure survival horror style, the areas are cramped, the arachnids are aplenty, and you also have to maintain your oxygen filters for the gas masks as well as the lighter fuel.
In my opinion this DLC seems very diverse, and the spider’s lair would certainly give any arachnophobe the creeps (pun not intended). The price you have to pay to get this is very small compared to what you gain, and I’ll definitely be looking into getting this ASAP myself! The last DLC pack, Chronicles, featuring three new story missions is set to arrive later this month. In the meanwhile, enjoy this DLC if you decide to get it, and say hi to the spiders for me!
