Deep Silver has announced that Metro: Last Light has been a major success for the company. The publisher has sent over Last Light‘s accomplishments in its short lifespan since release. According to the report, boxed copies Metro: Last Light outsold Metro 2033‘s lifetime sales in just its first week; on PC, Last Light tripled Metro 2033‘s wordwide first week sales; and lastly, across all platforms that Last Light was released for, it managed to sell more copies in a week than 2033 had in 3 months time.
The press release also details the contents and price of Metro: Last Light‘s season pass. The following singleplayer content was listed as being part of the Season Pass: The Faction Pack and Chronicle Pack–both adding to the game’s story. The Tower Pack will be adding a challenge of some sort for experienced players, and the last pack will be the Developer Pack (what I presume to be some cheats or easy modding tools). A semi-automatic shotgun rifle called the Abzats will also be included with the season pass. Season Pass content is said to release throughout the summer.
I have yet to play Last Light, but if our review by Kyle is any indication, I’m sure I’m missing out.
