Arguably the Danganronpa franchise’s most well-loved recurring element is the cast of magnetic, quirky and eminently memorable characters that inhabit each installment, so it makes sense for the series’ Western publisher NISA to capitalize on that aspect as the North American release of New Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony draws ever-closer.
Though earlier trailers and press releases for the game also focused on introducing V3‘s new students, a series of videos recently uploaded to NISA’s official YouTube channel gives each member of the murderous menagerie their time to shine by showcasing their individual talents and giving us a taste of their English voice work.
The first video highlights the diminutive-yet-gruff Ultimate Tennis Pro Ryoma Hoshi, boisterous meathead Ultimate Astronaut Kaito Momota, immature Ultimate Magician Himiko Yumeno, and spacey zealous Ultimate Artist Angie Yonaga:
Conversely, the second roll call introduces the unfathomably creepy Ultimate Anthropologist Korekiyo Shinguji, goofy Ultimate Aikido Master Tenko Chabashira, cool-as-ice Ultimate Maid Kirumi Tojo, and mysterious Ultimate Child Caregiver (boy, what a mouthful) Maki Harukawa:
Each video also debuts one of the villainous Monokuma Kubs (zany “offspring” of Monokuma who form a sort of quirky squad); the robotic Monodam and feminine Monophanie respectively.
With eight students left to introduce, we can expect at least two more Ultimate Roll Call videos from NISA leading up to the release of New Danganronpa V3 on PlayStation 4, Vita and Steam in late September, so keep your eyes peeled for those in the coming weeks!
