The melodic tones of Silent Hill‘s Mary Elizabeth McGylnn will be heard in at least one more survival horror game, as developer IMGN.PRO has announced that the singer will be featured in the Kholat soundtrack. The singer, actress and voice director will lend her amazing voice to the game’s soundtrack for the song “Farewell”. A sample of the song is available on YouTube, and it’s haunting and beautiful, something Silent Hill fans have come to love and expect from the talented McGlynn. McGlynn joins Sean Bean as a Silent Hill alum contributing their voice to Kholat.
“Mary Elizabeth McGlynn immediately came to our minds when we began the search for the voice that suits the specific mood of Kholat. And when she agreed to work with us the first takes in recording studio sounded great straight away,” said Łukasz Kubiak, IMGN.PRO co-founder. The satisfaction coming from this cooperation is also a personal thing for me. It’s an amazing feeling to hear the voice of McGlynn in your own game, especially if you’re a devoted fan of the Silent Hill series.”
Kholat is based on the true events of the “Dyatlov Pass Incident”- where a group of Russian students disappeared in the Ural Mountains. Kholat is due out on PC on June 10. Check out some new screenshots below.
