Today Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut releases in both Europe and North America on PlayStation Network. Blurring the line between port and remake, the game is releasing on the PlayStation 3 and Vita for just $12.99 ( €12.99 / £9.99) and is packed with a whole lot of content and improvements over the original game. Developer Jasper Byrne has released a blog post detailing his time working with Curve Studios and Sony, getting the game onto PlayStation consoles while improving it as much as possible.
Also within Jasper’s blog post is a list of new features, from the improvements to lighting to the 2 new endings only accessible on New Game +. A launch trailer is also available, filled with haunting excitement. If you’ve yet to try out Lone Survivor, now’s the best time as the game is bigger than ever. For those of you with the PC version, don’t worry. Jasper fully intends to bring over the Director’s Cut content to the existing PC version of Lone Survivor.
We’ve also got a contest for the Director’s Cut that you should enter! So go do that before it’s too late!
