It’s still so strange seeing Jimmy Urine from Mindless Self Indulgence working on the music of a game that I’m excited for. What makes it even stranger is Akira Yamaoka also being involved in the very same game. I’d call my taste in music pretty diverse. I love MSI for their self defined Industrial Jungle Pussy Punk tunes, and I have loved Akira’s work since the start of the Silent Hill series. Seeing these two work together is just amazing to me.
The latest Lollipop Chainsaw trailer has these two vastly different–but both loved–artists of mine sitting together discussing the music behind Grasshopper’s latest zany game. A look at some of the game’s music-inspired bosses is shown along with some discussion on how these bosses were conceived. If you’re a fan of crazy games, Lollipop’s music talent alone (not Skrillex) should get your interests in high gear. I know mine are.
