Rarely is a somber tone the route apocalyptic media goes for. In videogames in particular, the apocalypse is typically dressed with a lot of violence and an action–which is not the case with Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. This game is about regular people facing the end of the world, and the music reflects that.
You can watch the below video to get a taste of soundtrack. I heard a bit of it when I played the game at E3 and it was phenomenal.
