Last year’s Master Reboot was a sci-fi adventure game that had people explore a dream-like world formed from the soul of their character. This was a really cool setting, but I was surprised when I found out that the same studio, Wales Interactive, was making another game with the same general idea.
Instead of the Soul Cloud, Soul Axiom takes place on another server where dreams and memories are stored. “Elysia”, as this computer is called, allows users to relive moments of their life or show them to others. Judging by the trailer and description provided by the developer, it seems like the main character is thrown into some of the server’s unpleasant data and has to solve puzzles in order to escape.
The game was released on Steam Early Access for £14.99, €19,99 or $19.99 depending on your region and is intended to stay in Early Access for six months before receiving a full release. As a fun extra, it can also be bought in a bundle with Master Reboot.
