The beta for the upcoming DLC, “Cold Steam”, which started as a fan project before it was officially helped with by Valve, has now seen a beta release for PC and Mac. If you don’t mind some glitches and bugs to iron out, you can now download it for Left 4 Dead 2. The DLC is not story-oriented, instead featuring new gameplay ideas and locales to the franchise, including lush forests and snowy rivers. When completed, this piece of DLC will also be coming to the 360, with an added bonus of also releasing the rest of the L4D1 maps for L4D2 along with the Cold Stream campaign. This is a really impressive piece, and the effort put into it and the uniqueness of it you can definitely tell why Valve officially adapted this piece as official DLC. Check it out on Steam now.
