Left 4 Dead 2 Cold Stream DLC pack finally headed for official release

Almost a year after it was announced, Valve is almost finished debugging and polishing up its next DLC pack for Left 4 Dead 2.

Although PC users can already access the campaigns that will be available in the DLC pack, Xbox 360 users have been left in the dark.  Available in the DLC are L4D1 campaigns Crash Course, Dead Air, Death Toll and Blood Harvest, in addition to Cold Stream.

In addition to the extra campaigns, Valve will be rolling out a new update that longtime fans of the series will find exciting.  The update will allow all Mutations (co-op maps/campaigns with custom rules depending on the type of mutation) to be available at all times.  So no more waiting for Taannkk!  Or Gib Fest to roll up as that week’s mutation if you feel like playing it.  Just choose it from a list and you’re good to go.

Both Xbox 360 and PC versions of Left 4 Dead 2 will update on July 24th.  That gives you enough time to practice lining up your headshots and getting your team of survivors assembled.

With the L4D1 campaigns already in L4D2, we can’t see a reason that any PC or Xbox 360 gamer shouldn’t have this gem as a part of their collection.
