While it did suffer from a little too much inspiration (read: things lifted) from P.T., and an over-reliance on Jumpscares (one in particular that just completely misses the boat), we were overall very positive about Layers of Fear, the art-based horror game from indie developer Bloober Team. We even dedicated most of an episode of our podcast, Whispers in the Dark, to discussing it. I had assumed that we wouldn’t be hearing from the universe of Layers of Fear again for the moment, seeing as the developers are currently hard at work on the sci-fi horror game Observer, which was announced at E3. Apparently not, seeing as Inheritance, a new DLC add-on for Layers of Fear drops in just a few days on August 2nd. We’ve got a trailer to whet your appetite.
