Endnight Games has released the third trailer for their upcoming survival game The Forest. The trailer begins by giving a small recap on how our unnamed protagonist got to the wilderness where he’s left to survive all alone. As usual, it all begins with a plane crash. The trailer also implies that the protagonist was traveling with a child; a child not seen at any other point in the trailer and that makes me really sad.
Such relaxing tasks as fishing, cutting and gathering wood, and cooking fish are among the things our protagonist will have to occupy himself with in order to survive. Other than that, there’s also fighting the forest’s strange native people … and their tentacle monsters. Yeah, this trailer goes from sad, to calm, and damn weird in under 2 minutes.
The Forest looks visually impressive and incredibly strange. I can’t wait to try it out when it hits Steam Early Access on May 22.
