Latest The Evil Within Trailer Will Get Your Blood Pumping

Bethesda has been fairly hush about what we can expect from The Evil Within. In terms of available info and images, there has hardly been anything more than a synopsis and a few videos and screenshots from the same few areas demoed at past events. If you ask me, this is a good thing; I don’t want the whole game spoiled for us ahead of time. Over-promotion often leaves us with very few surprises. And while I definitely appreciate Bethesda keeping the game’s contents under wraps for so long, sometimes we just need a little dose of hype. Today Bethesda has released a brand new trailer – the biggest one to date – for The Evil Within, and it has me more excited for the game than ever.

Unlike past trailers and gameplay videos that have shown us Sebastian mostly within the Butcher’s lair, the latest trailer for the game gives us a glimpse at numerous locations throughout Shinji Mikami’s latest survival horror adventure. New areas, enemies, and psychological terrors are introduced along with the game’s potential antagonist. Sebastian does not appear to be having a good time, but I think I very much will.

The trailer unfortunately seems to be using footage from the last-gen version of the game, so low res textures and aliasing issues will be apparent, but don’t let that stop you from absorbing all of this madness.

The Evil Within releases on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on August 26.
