Rise of the Tomb Raider will finally be free from its Xbox/PC exclusivity in just a couple of months. Not only will PlayStation 4 owners finally get to discover one of last year’s gaming treasures, but they’re also getting some new content (as will existing owners of the game).
Launching on October 11 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Edition will collect the main game, its DLC, and new modes in the form of “Blood Ties” and “Lara’s Nightmare.” Both of the new modes are set within Croft Manor, letting players explore it while shedding some more light on Lara’s history. Think Gone Home set in the Tomb Raider universe. “Lara’s Nightmare,” on the other hand, flips the script into total horror territory, filling the mansion with hordes of undead monstrosities.
This new edition will also be Sony VR compatible on PlayStation 4, and will, of course, come with a selection of new costumes, some of which pay homage to the series roots. Check out the new trailer below!
