Konami and Bloober Team to Continue Collaboration

Bloober Team

Hot off the success of Silent Hill 2 remake – which we named our 2024 Game of the Year – developer Bloober Team and publisher Konami have announced their plans to continue collaboration.

In a press release dated February 25, 2025, Bloober teased a “New game based on KONAMI’s IP”, with Bloober CEO Piotr Babieno stating “We are confident that fans will be just as excited about our collaboration as we are.”

Silent Hill 2 Remake

It’s unknown which IP Bloober will work on at this time; however, there are a few possibilites to consider. Given the critical and commercial heights of Silent Hill 2 and Konami’s committment to the franchise, more remakes or even a new entry in the series – to go alongside Ryukishi07’s Silent Hill f – wouldn’t be a surprise.

Alternatively, Konami seem to be seeking to re-establish Metal Gear after creator Hideo Kojima’s departure from the company a decade ago. Could Bloober be the developers behind a new Metal Gear entry to deliver the series into its next age, following up Delta‘s release later this year?

Perhaps they could even lead a new Castlevania? It’s impossible to tell and any attemps are pure speculation for now. However, Babieno has assured fans, sharing that Bloober “Can’t wait to share something truly special with players when the time is right.”

The future certainly looks bright for Bloober Team.
