Microsoft had a lot to say about Kinect at the Tokyo Game Show. One of the announcements was that Masaya Matsuura would be making a game for its motion-sensing Kinect peripheral. It’s been described as some as ‘hardcore’ but one look at the announcement makes one think otherwise. We at RoH don’t try to be fanboys/fangirls or bash on any particular console, but with the Wii’s motion controls having fizzled out in some of our minds, it’s hard to get ‘really’ excited about something that’s being advertised to be uber-casual. And it doesn’t even have the Wii-mote to hit your friends with when you’re bored of all the cutesy stuff.
To be fair, at least the Wii allows you to break your old TV through ‘accidents.’
The game is titled “Haunt,” and it’s a haunted house game with cute graphics. I’m thinking now…the player holds their hands above their heads and controls a ghost in their quest to scare the living bajeezus out of a six year old girl. The great thing about TGS is that we can imagine all we want. I’m sure that there are loads of redeeming qualities about this title that just haven’t been announced yet. For the time being, take a look at this one little title teaser image that we were able to procure from 1up.com.
