The release trailer for IMGN.PRO’s Kholat has dropped today, and it sets the tone for what’s sure to be a haunting game visually and narratively. As announced and reiterated over the course of the game’s promotion, esteemed actor Sean Bean will be contributing his voice to the game as its narrator. Bean can be heard in the trailer, and he does a good job of luring players into this world in which much mystery resides.
Based on the true events called the “Dyatlov Pass Incident”, Kholat explores what happened to a group of Russian students that died under strange circumstances in the Ural Mountains. Players will visit the site many years later, looking to uncover the truth. If the trailer is anything to go by, supernatural things were responsible.
Kholat releases worldwide on June 10 on Steam (the 9th for some of us) and other major online stores.
