Forgwares Studios recently decided to give us another look at their upcoming action-adventure game, The Sinking City. For the unfamiliar, The Sinking City is an open-world horror mystery set in a Lovecraftian version of 1920s Oakmont, Massachusetts, one that is isolated from the rest of the world by extreme flooding. The game follows Charles W. Reed, a private investigator seeking the cause behind the phenomena. While players will uncover the malevolent force that has taken control of the city and their inhabitants, Reed will have to combat his own form of insanity.
The ‘gameplay’ trailer doesn’t really give an extensive look at the actual gameplay, but it’s sporting some fairly impressive visuals, and the tentacle shaving scene is pretty unsettling. The concept art showcases some cool monster designs and set pieces, so it will definitely be interesting to see how the game develops.
The Sinking City is set to release March 21, 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. You can visit the Frogwares website, or check out the game’s trailer and or check out some of the concept art and screenshots below.
