Eko Software’s zombie survival game How To Survive came out on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 last November and was met with relatively lukewarm reviews. Despite of this, the studio has not backed down from its promises of a release on Nintendo’s Wii U and has confirmed the game will launch next year.
In the game you must complete various missions while also managing your character’s needs. To that end, the game features a crafting mechanic that allows you to build everything from weapons to fishing rods, all of which require materials that you must find. These survival aspects were praised by critics, but those same journalists also criticized it for its repetitive nature and lackluster presentation.
Assuming that some of these complaints are addressed in this port, I actually think Eko might be able to bring out a really neat version on Nintendo’s latest home system. Sadly, the studio has not stated if they will make any changes… yet.
