The Hotline Miami 2 hype train begins today with a strange telephone number released by the game’s social media channels. The number “+1 (786) 519-3708 ext 10” was posted to the game’s Twitter and Facebook pages just moments ago, prompting followers to give the number a call. I managed to get through and was welcomed to a garbled message that repeated the word March in several different ways. Trying to call the number again doesn’t seem to work.
I didn’t pick up on this myself, but March 10 is what a lot of people are hearing when they call the number. Is that Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number‘s release date? Probably, and this was a pretty cool way to announce it – via the right number.
