A collection of all Higurashi: When They Cry chapters is coming to Playstation systems under the name “Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sui“. For now it seems this will be a Japanese-only release, but hopefully it will somehow find a way overseas.
This was announced in Famitsu magazine, which sadly means the finer details of the article are in Japanese. This is an issue because I would love to find out how “complete” this package is; certainly it will include the original, Kai and Rei, but will we see a return of the Playstation 2 exclusive Matsuri chapters or perhaps the Kizuna stories from the DS version?
What we do know is that Sui will be voice-acted and there will be some new features. Development is in the hands of the well-established Kaga Create, so this port is unrelated to the Steam release we are waiting for, which is handled by Manga Gamer.
The release date is currently set to March 12, 2015.
