Developer Scott Cawthon has released the first teaser trailer for the third game in the Five Nights at Freddy‘s series. Hyping the return of one of the animatronics (I think?), the trailer reveals that things are not quite over in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The game’s Steam Greenlight page indicates that the game takes place thirty years after the original game’s events and involves a group of enterprising entrepreneurs trying to make money by restoring the legend of the pizzeria.
Based on the game’s visuals in the trailer and screenshots, the environments of Freddy’s 3 appear to no longer be pre-rendered (or perhaps just of higher quality than past games). Could this be hinting at a new gameplay approach for the series? Perhaps, but we won’t know until Scott Cawthon drops more details. Here’s hoping that’s the case, though, as something new to add to the game’s fairly simple formula would be nice.
