Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice’s Launch Trailer is Here and it’s Gorgeous

Ninja Theory’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has all the makings of an emotional, smart story about the trials of mental illness. From the get-go, I’ve been itching to see what the developer of Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and DmC: Devil May Cry, both games I adore, has achieved with their latest game. The wait won’t be much longer as the game hits Windows PC and PlayStation 4 on August 8th. To commemorate the release, we’ve got an all new launch trailer to cry over.

The launch trailer for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is one that shows glimpses of Senua’s forthcoming ordeals. Various set pieces are shown off, and wow does this game look gorgeous. To be honest, I’ve been on a light media blackout for this title so when I finally play it I can (hopefully) be completely blown away. Ninja Theory ain’t playing around with this one.

News of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice PS4 Pro support has also been announced today. If you’ve got one of those pumped up consoles, you’ll have an option to play the game at 4K 30fps or 1080p 60fps. If you pre-order it on PSN, you’ll get a dynamic theme too. On PC, the framerate is uncapped (as it should be) and there’s 21:9 aspect ratio support. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will retail for $29.99, in case you were unaware. Here’s hoping every minute of it is memorable.
