Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice faces 2017 delay

2016-11-30
After a few moments of silence, Ninja Theory has announced a delay for their upcoming title, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. As explained in the video below, they’ve had a number of reasons throughout the year for the long development time, including a cancelled project and a collaborative opportunity with Epic Games. They’ve also stated that the reason behind the what appears to be a long wait is due to the fact that the game is independently supported; so they’ve decided to announce the game in development much earlier than a hypothetical publisher would’ve revealed it. Until recently, they have been regularly making behind-the-scenes videos about the development process for their title. Reception for this hang-up has been well met by their fans.

The game now has a non-concrete 2017 release date. It will be coming to the Playstation 4 and PC.
