Hell has been portrayed many times through horror and fiction in general. Of course, hell is very rarely presented as a pleasant place, but most adaptations aren’t usually as colorful and silly as BDSM: Big Drunk Satanic Massacre (yeah, that’s what it’s called).
In this bird’s eye view action-RPG, players assume the role of Lou, Satan’s son, who finds himself on a quest to save hell’s princess from a bunch of humans, mega-corporations, and evil clowns that has invaded hell itself. Wow, that is a hell of a sentence.
The game features a mechanic in which Lou is healed by booze, which obviously increases his blood alcohol level while having additional affects on the player and gameplay.
I appreciate the fact the game seems to revel in its absurdity and edgy personality, and I find the idea of there being a ‘skeleton slums’ section of hell to be hilarious. If a drunken explosion-fest in hell sounds good to you, then you can check out BDSM: Big Drunk Satanic Massacre when it releases on Steam this May.
