For anyone who already wasn’t looking forward to Alone in the Dark: Illumination, this trailer isn’t going to make you very happy. I don’t think anything will, sadly.
Atari has revealed a new trailer for the game, which actually shows off some gameplay. This’ll do nicely on the Steam pre-order page. Oh, and if you want to pre-order the title, better hurry up! The game is supposed to release this month, but we can’t be sure on the exact launch date.
What can I tell you about the game from the trailer? It’s dark and moody and the grisly narrator reading a passage from Nemesis (the H.P. Lovecraft work, not the Resident Evil game).
Also, there’s a lot of shooting.
So there’s not a whole lot of game play shown there, but it’s enough to let you see that yes, this is indeed a third-person shooter! It’s no surprise that fans of the series are not looking forward to this, seeing as how it seems to be related to the series in name alone (right now). However it does still have the potential to be entertaining. We shall see when the game releases for PC sometime this month.
