Well it looks like DayZ finally has some real competition, as Daybreak Game Company’s H1Z1 has sold over a Million units. The game is still in early access, so it’s pretty surprising to hear that it’s doing this well already. Hopefully that motivates the team to really get the ball rolling and finish it.

Early access continues to be a curious thing, despite the fact that the game is clearly a good ways off from a ‘release’ version–people continue to buy it in droves. After purchasing a couple games in early access myself, both of which are nowhere close to a final product, I’m avoiding the early access tag at all costs. It’s so not fetch.
