Publisher Zodiac Interactive and developer NEXT Studio have announced that gothic puzzler Iris.Fall will take a few more weeks to marinate that originally planned. The dreary, vaudevillian game will release on Steam on December 7th rather than this month to focus on polish and match the level of quality expected from them after their award-winning Death Coming.
After awakening from a dream, Iris follows a black cat into a dilapidated theater, traveling back and forth through a strange labyrinth of light and shadow. As the story unfolds, Iris begins to realise that everything in this theater seems to have some kind of hidden connection to herself.
In the meantime, the publisher has released a new gameplay trailer for Iris.Fall which shows off the game’s highly-stylized visuals and mix of 2D and 3D graphics. It’s certainly visually striking, so if the gameplay is up to par, the game could be worth checking out.
