Publisher THQ Nordic has announced they’re partnering with KING Art Games to release gothic horror adventure Black Mirror (which is not associated with the sci-fi show of the same name). It’s based on a point-and-click adventure trilogy that initially came out in 2003, but this iteration will feature re-imagined investigative gameplay. You’ll play as protagonist David Gordon as he explores his family’s past and interacts with nightmarish apparitions. The publisher promises an “eerie atmosphere focusing on the horrors of the mind, in the style of Poe and Lovecraft.”
KING Art Games are known for the acclaimed adventures The Book of Unwritten Tales and The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief. The teaser trailer for Black Mirror appropriately captures the eerie, foreboding atmosphere of gothic horror with just a few choice frames. Black Mirror will be released on November 28, 2017 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
