A new issue of Famitsu this week shows off more of the Kaiju disaster survival game, City Shrouded in Shadow.
The premise of this Bandai Namco/Granzella joint project puts you in the role of a customizable, but ordinary civilian who must leave a city under siege by giant terrors. If you ever had fantasies of playing a vulnerable survivor on the ground level of a Sci-Fi/Horror disaster ala Cloverfield, this might be a title worth keeping an eye on.
Famitsu’s current preview shares a features a female character that will attempt to escape with your protagonist, as well as the (previously hinted, but now official) appearance of Godzilla who will wreck havoc upon the city you’re fleeing from. This follows the news of Ultraman being present in at least one of the game’s scenarios.
In the bottom right corner of the feature, the silhouette of what looks like EVA Unit-01 from Neon Genesis Evangelion is teased as another cameo character to be revealed in the future.
City Shrouded in Shadow is currently planned for the PS4 and PS Vita in Japan.
