Don’t Starve, the gloomy wilderness-survival game from Klein Entertainment, has just released its first expansion pack on Steam Early Access; Reign of Giants promises to make the world bigger, badder and a helluva lot more deadly.
Aside from adding new items, resources and inventions to the game, this DLC pack also includes the titular giants, two new playable characters, and new biomes to explore. The giants are the star this time around, but their role is not completely explained on the store page, so I fear that is a mystery we will have to solve ourselves. My guess is that most of them just kind of want to stomp you.
The DLC will cost you five dollars or euros, depending on where you live, or £ 3.99 if you are from the UK. Currently there is a 20% discount until the end of April, but be warned that the game will contain a variety of bugs and missing features until it leaves Early Access.
