The original Gears of War will always stand as my favorite in the series. Out of all the entries, it had the strongest horror vibes throughout its exhilarating experience. I remember being sold on the game months before its release, but what sealed the deal was definitely that beautiful, haunting Mad World trailer.
With the Xbox One release of Gears of War Ultimate Edition just a week away (on August 25th), we now have a launch trailer bringing back that classic song. It definitely fits the events of the game, and now I find myself as excited as I was to play the game for the first time all those years ago. It doesn’t hurt that this new remastered edition actually looks quite good. And, after participating in the beta, I think I’m going to find myself hooked on the multiplayer all over again.
