The studio behind the Dark Souls series has just been acquired by Japanese publisher Kadokawa. It was announced today that both companies are going to be working together on marketing and development from now on.
Kadokawa is a major publisher of anime, manga, and several big game titles in Japan. Some of the more recognisable titles they’ve published are Lollipop Chainsaw, Killer Is Dead, and Demon Gaze.
As far as actual development goes, things will more than likely remain the game. So you don’t have to worry about Lucky Star characters appearing in future Dark Souls games.
