Friday the 13th: The Game Heads to Nintendo Switch

Friday the 13th Interview

Gun Media’s Friday the 13th: The Game is headed to the Nintendo Switch. In an exclusive on Variety, the publisher announced that they’ve been working with the game’s lead developer Black Tower, with support from Nighthawk, on this Switch port.

Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Switch Edition includes all of the game’s publicly released DLC/updates, which also includes the emote and costume packs. Kickstarter exclusives are not included. This new release is set for a spring release, which means within the coming months this pretty fun multiplayer slasher will be portable. This news also comes hot off the heels of Gun Media’s new post-release support initiative, which started with major game re-balancing.

The prospect of Friday the 13th: The Game on the go sounds pretty cool, but it remains to be seen if this version will be without too many performance issues — something still found across all other versions. But if the port is solid, here’s hoping Gun Media can salvage the game’s waning interest and player base by one day offering cross-platform play.
