Asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Friday the 13th: The Game is stalking Nintendo for a final strike on August 13th.
The game, which is also available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, has been ported to the Nintendo Switch with all of the previously released DLC and game updates. Dubbed Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Edition, the game will launch at retailers (Amazon, Gamestop, Best Buy) in addition to the eShop and cost $39.99. The physical release includes a limited edition 11×17 poster and exclusive Bloody Jason skins.
$39.99 may be a little pricey for a two-year old game, but Nintendo Switch owners without access to the other release platforms will be getting their first shot chance to play the game. As for how the port looks, it’s clearly been scaled down to work on the handheld console, and I fear that hiding in grass and bushes may no longer be a viable strategy as those objects are less detailed, but we’ll see when it launched. Hopefully the port runs decently as well.
For those interested, pre-orders can be made now at supported retailers.
