The first proper new map and Jason since launch are headed to Friday the 13th: The Game! The new content will be based on the fourth film, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, which starred Corey Feldman as Tommy Jarvis.
The teaser trailer gives us a glimpse at the new map and the Jarvis home that’s presumably a major focus of the environment. More interestingly, the map features weather effects for the first time as a heavy downpour is on display. According to the game’s Twitter page, rain effects will be available for all maps as well. A quick look at Jason from the film is revealed, lumpy face and all. This being a teaser and all, there’s no word on when the content will release. Hopefully it drops soon.
Friday the 13th: The Game has hit a stride lately with major game patches going out across all platforms in an effort to have parity. Remaining concerns from Kickstarter backers waiting for their physical copies and the release of the game’s singleplayer update linger, though. Hopefully we’ll continue hearing about more good than bad when it comes to this game. I quite enjoyed it, and I’ve been itching for a reason to get back into it.
