The Far Cry series has long been toying with horror-themed ideas, the most memorable being the creepy Yalung masks in Far Cry 4. With Far Cry 5 gravitating towards cult themes and backwoods religious horror amid it’s over-the-top mayhem, it’s not too surprising that the game’s season pass is bringing all kinds of spooky new delights to the franchise.
Far Cry 5 includes three new expansions to the base game, all dealing with different settings and enemies. In Dead Living Zombies, players will fight against waves of zombies across multiple scenarios, a mode that is immediately reminiscent of Call of Duty‘s popular Zombies mode. The Lost on Mars expansion will bring players face-to-face with alien arachnids, while the Hours of Darkness expansion drops players in the dank jungles of Vietnam to survive.
Additionally, players who purchase Far Cry 5‘s season pass will also receive Far Cry 3 Classic, an HD update of the classic last-gen shooter.
