Released in North America on August 11, 1999, System Shock 2 was a well-received second entry in its franchise that still has a powerful community around it to this day. Fans are capable of incredible feats and have visually improved the game in the past, heck, they even made it multiplayer, but this time the System Shock 2 community has truly outdone themselves.
System Shock Infinite 2.0 is a mod that serves as a sequel to the franchise, picking up right after the finale of the 1999 classic. While that alone is impressive, it even features multiple story-paths that can be followed that affect the world around the player, as well as new powers and enemies to encounter.
The mod is available for free on ModDB and is currently in beta, so those wanting the full experience may want to wait a little longer.
