An indie studio under the name of Pig Farmer Productions has gone out of their way to produce a free-to-play video game adaption of 1978’s Halloween. While this has been done before by Wizard Video Games in 1983, this version promises less disco-colored rooms and more claustrophobic chase sequences.
Pig Farmer Productions has in the past been responsible for several other adaptions of classic movies (and original games that are done in the same slasher style). The game is advertised as a “freeware fan game inspired by 80′s slasher flicks and PSX survival horror games.” The trailer below shows off some of the game’s cutscenes and several fight sequences which, disregarding the low quality of the graphics, look pretty good.
The game can be downloaded for free on the developer’s website.
