Famitsu’s spotlight on the epic finale to the Heavenly Host Elementary School storyline of Corpse Party finally shows us what the game will look like. Yesterday I posted some information on Corpse Party: Blood Drive’s graphics and release date in Japan (July 24, 2014) and now we have an actual glimpse of what it will look like.
As you can see, Corpse Party: Blood Drive returns to the adventure gameplay of Blood Covered; players can walk around and investigate their environment. This time, though, the game will be dropping its pixel graphics in favor of 3D character models with big heads. They’re chibis!
Based on the screens, which include characters Satoshi, Naomi, and possibly Seiko, the game will have real-time lighting, 3D environments, and include visuals that are as gruesome as ever.
Corpse Party: Blood Drive will take place two months after the events of the “Blood Drive” chapter in Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. After recovering from an accident that almost killed her, Ayumi is given information that informs her that if she goes back to Heavenly Host she can save her friends once and for all. Blood Drive will also see the introduction of new characters Magali, Kuon, and Misuto.
