Recounting my ongoing but intense love affair with mobile games, I’m always on the hunt for a game that kills two birds with one stone. Not literally, because I like birds. A mobile horror game is always on the top of the list of things I want to try.
So when I was notified of Eyes the Horror Game, already available for PC, iOS and Google Play, I had to try it. The game is free (ad supported on some platforms, but an ad free version exists) and was created by Paulina Pabis. I figured the easiest method to get it would be to just download it from the Google Play store and give it a whirl.
The game’s premise is to break into a house, steal as much stuff as you can and get out. Sounds easy, right? Well, there’s a catch – it wouldn’t be a horror game if there wasn’t some terrifying catch, right?
Eyes takes a pretty big cue from Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Slender: The Arrival. You are initially tasked with a pretty simple objective, yet relentlessly pursued. The game isn’t the prettiest thing I’ve ever played, but looks aren’t everything, and it still doesn’t look half bad for a game developed by one person.
You can download Eyes for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, or iOS here.
