The popular point & click adventure game The Last Door will receive a collector’s edition next week on May 20th, 2014, which will feature new and enhanced content.
Whereas the game was previously available for free, online play over at www.thelastdoor.com, this enhanced version will be published by Phoenix Online Studios for Steam, GOG and other major retailers, as well as their own webshop. Players must guide their character through Victorian England in this Lovecraft-inspired story and research all kinds of shady locales to uncover the secrets of the world. The game features an appealing, low-res art-style and atmospheric music crafted by Carlos Viola, which combined with its gameplay and story won it some awards in 2009 and 2010.
This new release will cost $9.99 and includes “all-new puzzles, scenes, and stories, as well as enhanced graphics and remastered sound.” A mobile version is planned for later this year.
