Much like the first game, The Evil Within 2 on PC is going to be a somewhat demanding beast on Recommended settings. For a high-end experience, you’re going to need the following specs or better:
- OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 / AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or better
- 16 GB RAM, 40GB free HDD space
- GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX 480 8GB or better
The game’s Minimum requirements aren’t so bad. If I had to guess, I’d say The Evil Within 2 will run better on PCs at launch than the first game did — which suffered from low FPS and limited settings. Tango Gameworks’ custom STEM Engine hopefully makes The Evil Within 2 a better performing game overall. Although, I did notice some hitching when I demoed the game a few weeks ago. Here’s the game’s Minimum settings:

- 8 GB RAM, 40GB free HDD space
- GPU: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB / AMD HD 7970 3GB or better
As for graphical settings, the list is pretty extensive. If you’ve got a rig up to snuff, you can tinker with the game’s LOD, Bloom, Object Motion Blur, Camera Motion Blur, Motion Blur Quality, DOF Quality, SSAO Quality, SSR Quality, Volumetric Light Quality, Shadow Quality and Anti-Aliasing (FXAA, TAA, TAA+FXAA). Hopefully this means the game maxed out looks incredible.
As for consoles, expect a day one patch and a full download size of 31-33GB. Preload times per platform and more can be found on Bethesda’s blog.
