What if Pacman were a first-person survival horror game?” That was the question that started this interesting indie game titled Erie. The game was created in the UDK by students at the University of Utah.
The gameplay in Erie in unique. Placing you in maze like levels with a monster that stalks you as you attempt to complete basic tasks. If it sounds disorienting, it’s because it is. To help with this, you are given a can of spray paint which allows you to leave markings and notes on the walls around you. It is a nerve wracking experience.
A prototype is available freely over at Desura. It’s a good game, but definitely rough around the edges. With hopes of polishing it up for a full fledged release, the developers have gone to Kickstarter. Over there you can help support this game and earn some interesting rewards in the process.
