Our Darker Purpose was one of my favorite indie titles of 2014; I gave it a 9.5/10 in my review, it appeared on our top indies of 2014 list, and it’s still the first game I’d recommend to anybody who is interested in the roguelike genre. It has been a while since we last heard from the game, but this new update adds some cool features and lets us know that development is ongoing.
Aside from a few new items and a bit of balancing, the update also introduces native controller support for all Xbox360-compatible controllers and fixes previous issues with Steam achievements and cloud saves. The game’s soundtrack is now also available as a separate download for about $4.99.
