E3 2019: THQ Interviewed On Destroy All Humans! Remake

Destroy All Humans

A couple of days before E3 2019, THQ Nordic announced they’d be remaking PS2 classic Destroy All Humans!. Now that the event is underway, an interview with the director of business and production development was able to shed a bit more light on the creative direction the game will be taking.

Not to be confused with the backward-compatible ports of Destroy All Humans! 1 and 2, the remake will mostly be leaving the story completely untouched from the original release. Instead of major changes to the story, there is an obvious overhaul in graphical fidelity as can be seen in the gameplay and announcement trailer. Some gameplay elements will be remixed and ‘modernized’ as well, but we can only speculate what those changes may be for now.

I do fondly remember playing the original Destroy All Humans as a kid, and remember it being quite a trippy experience that I would probably enjoy a lot more now that I’m older. If you’re fond of the movie Mars Attacks!, then you should probably check out Destroy All Humans!, given their overwhelming similarities.

If you happen to be at E3 right now, the Destroy All Humans! remake is currently playable on the show floor. The full game is planned to release at some point early 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. You can watch the full interview below.
