E3 2018: Doom Eternal Shows Us Hell On Earth

Doom Eternal

Bethesda has revealed an official teaser trailer for Doom Eternal, the sequel to the 2016 reboot of the franchise. Cue an awesome heavy metal soundtrack.

The teaser trailer for Doom Eternal shows our Earth consumed and overrun by the forces of Hell. The sky is red, there is desolation and destruction at every turn, and demons wander the twisted landscape looking to kill anyone who is unfortunate enough to cross their path. The trailer is accompanied by an awesome soundtrack that compliments the brutal visuals of hell on earth.

No gameplay was shown off, but we can expect loads of guns, blood and lots of demons who are about to be torn to shreds. Further information about Doom Eternal will be shown at Quakecon 2018, so if you enjoy lots of demon murder, you will want to tune in.

After a long hiatus, the 2016 reboot of Doom surprised many and was a visceral return to form for the franchise. It put players in the empowering shoes of The Doom Guy, a one-man killing machine whose favourite pass time is murdering hellspawn. With the announcement of Doom Eternal, players will be able to continue with The Doom Guys story and see whether he has mellowed out over the years. I doubt it, though.
