When Dead Rising 4 was announced, many were under the belief that it was some type of remake / alt-timeline deal that brought Frank West back to Willamette Mall. That is not the case here, guys. According to Capcom representatives on the show floor, Dead Rising 4 is indeed after Dead Rising 3, and Frank West is as old as he should be.
16 years after the original outbreak, Frank West is back, with a slimmer and more dashing appearance. But rest assured, he’s the same mofo we’ve come to know and love. He’s a bit less distinctive this time around as a result, no longer looking like a fat Luke Perry, but so be it.
And if you’re wondering, when I asked whether Dead Rising 4 was a Windows 10 store exclusive on PC or just for Windows 10 OS, the team gave a reassuring “Windows 10 PC” answer, suggesting the game will simply be require on that OS when played, and not solely available through the Windows store. Good.
From what I’ve seen (not played) Dead Rising 4 looks as wacky as ever. After loving the third game in the series (even if its PC port was shoddy at times), I very much look forward to another Dead Rising.
